Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas

Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas partnered with Project S.N.A.P. on a large scale community engagement program that resulted in a 7′ x 14′ mosaic mural permanently displayed in the main lobby of the new Dell Seton Medical Center at U-T teaching hospital.

Over 4,000 patients, families, employees, students in local schools, and community members helped to create the giant mosaic mural which came to life thanks in large part to a generous gift from H-E-B, Northern Trust, and Emmis Austin Radio.

The individual artworks in the mosaic reflect the theme “Picture a Healthy Community” and were used to create the mosaic mural which depicts families engaged in a healthy Austin lifestyle.  Every person who created an artwork can find their artwork and exact location in the Project S.N.A.P. Online Art Museum.

Members of the community who made a gift to the Dell Seton Future of Care Campaign were also given a unique recognition opportunity on a tile in the mosaic mural.

The Project S.N.A.P. program gave us a medium for people to engage with their own ideas about healthcare and for us to share what we're doing to support their healthcare in the community.
