Kids Helping Kids-Children's
Hospital of MI Stilson Center

More than 2,000 students of all abilities learned about
the importance of kids helping kids through difficult times.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Project S.N.A.P. partnered together to create a 4′ X 6′ mosaic mural entitled “Kids Helping Kids”.  Over 2,000 students of all abilities and backgrounds from the Macomb Intermediate School District participated in the project which was designed to help give members of the community a chance to connect personally with the new Children’s Hospital Stilson Center.

The giant Tree Frog is on display in the main lobby of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Stilson Center.  The mural was installed in December 2008 and a special community event was held on February 21, 2009 to celebrate its completion. Student artists who participated used the Project S.N.A.P. Online Art Museum to find their artworks and point out their artwork to their family and friends.

Being part of the mosaic was very special for me because I could have my picture in the mural just like everyone else.
